On April 20, the whole world was devastated and deeply saddened as Tim Bergling a Swedish DJ artist, commonly known as Avicii, passed away in Muscat, Oman at the age of 28.
Avicii was one of the most talented and beloved artist with a massive fan following all over the world due to his tremendous contribution to EDM industry.
Lots of popular EDM artists like David Guetta, Skrillex, Tiesto, Nicky Romero, Diplo have already expressed their tribute through Twitter and other Social media. Avicii collaborated with many artists of different genres throughout his career and was an inspiration for many young artists including Alan Walker and Martin Garrix.
Something really horrible happened. We lost a friend with such a beautiful heart and the world lost an incredibly talented musician. Thank you for your beautiful melodies, the time we shared in the studio, playing together as djs or just enjoying life as friends.

The remix I did of Levels hasn’t left my set since I made it back in 2011. All though we weren’t “close friends” I feel this deep sadness through the connection we had through this song. Tim was a truly a genius and an innovator, yet sensitive and humble. This industry can be rough and from a far I saw it take a tole on him. I just wish I could have hugged him more and told him it would be okay .You’re music will forever be apart of mine and so many other lives. Maybe that’s the closest thing we have to immortality. I really hope you’re essence , wherever it may be in the universe is now at peace. And if in some miracle you can see this , I hope you know that as long as human beings are alive on this planet , you will forever remain an inspiration. Thank you Tim. RIP
You set the precedent for the rest of us producers/ opened doors and set the trends . A real groundbreaker and influencer to all your peers . You should have lived to be 150.. but your music is gonna live forever . I'm not just saying that.. but you are the only one to always make timeless songs. You were the gold standard . You made me want try and make dance music when i first heard "seek bromance" . And then u kept making feel like shit cause you kept gettin better and i couldn't even mix a snare right .. you were the best of this generation . A real superstar 🌟 I know you had your demons and maybe this wasn't the right place for you sometimes , but we need to protect true artists like you at all costs because there are not enough left and we are losing too many .. be good Tim
I spent a day in the studio and he took a song that nobody else understood and brought it to life. He was very sick, came straight from the hospital, sweating with discomfort but didn't complain. It was a great experience and I'll always be grateful to share that level of creativity and passion with someone who had such an understanding of what made people happy-he really cares about the lyrics but then knew how to make people come together and let go. RIP @avicii we will all miss you ❤️
Tim Bergling (born in Stockholm, Sweden) first attained recognition when he released his hit single “Seek Bromance” which reached the top 20 on charts in many countries.
His most famous song “Wake me up” peaked at number one in many countries and as of April 2018, the song’s video has been viewed over 1.4 billion times on his official YouTube channel, making it one of the most viewed videos on the site.
Avicii released two studio albums, one Extended Play and multiple singles throughout his career.
His major achievements include multiple Grammy, billboard, WMA nominations.
In 2014, Avicii faced severe health issues due to excessive drinking habits which later lead to cancellation of many live shows.
Later in 2016, Avicii announced his retirement from live concerts, due to persistent health issues. But before retiring, on 28 August 2016, Avicii performed his last live concert in Ibiza.
Despite retiring from live shows Avicii continued to work passionately on his new studio albums, but unfortunately on 20 April 2018 his journey came to an end.
Due to absence of music video, many good songs from his studio albums remain unpopular till date. That is why I would like to share this list of some of his underrated songs as a way to pay my tribute to this EDM legend with the hope of getting the attention these songs deserve in near future.
Here are some lesser known songs I don’t want his fans to miss :
1. Sunset Jesus
2. Always On The Run
3. Talk To Myself
4. True Believer
5. City Lights
6. Ten More Days
8. Gonna Love Ya
9. Heart Upon My Sleeve
10. All You Need Is Love
Hey brother! There’s an endless road to rediscover. Hey sister! Know the water’s sweet but blood is thicker. Oh, if the sky comes falling down, for you. There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do…
