Yes, you heard it right, Ice-Cricket it is at St. Moritz, Switzerland. The cricket legends battle with each other on a snow pitch at -7 degrees in Switzerland. The first match is between Virender Sehwag’s team, Sehwag Diamonds and Shahid Afridi’s team the Afridi Royals. It is going to be a two-day event where two matches starting today are set to be played not on a regular cricket ground, but on ice.
This unique cricket event is called as “St Moritz Ice Cricket 2018” and it is being already in lights, one for its unique ice concept and the other because of the big crickets. Along with Sehwag and Afridi, the event also has some big names such as Abdul Razzaq, Zaheer Khan, Shoaib Akhtar, Jacques Kallis, Michael Hussey and many others.
The St Moritz Ice Cricket 2018 is a joint initiative of Vijay Singh, CEO, VJ Sports and Akhilesh Bahuguna, Director of All Spheres Pvt. Ltd. The event is approved by International Cricket Council (ICC).
