It’s Kangana Ranaut’s birthday today and we are celebrating not just her birthday but by getting inspired by her, we are also celebrating womanhood, independence, and Life!
She is one of the most versatile and hard working actresses of Bollywood who doesn’t shy away from speaking her heart out. Very rarely do we find such personalities especially in Bollywood, where things are kind of fake and pretentious. Such is the reality of these stars. As they say to achieve something great in life you also have to sacrifice something.
It is definitely the case when it comes to Kangana.
Bollywood is a close knit fraternity. It becomes very difficult for an outsider to venture into this space without any influence or support. Making a stance has become more difficult now considering the outburst of star kids who are always ready to take the first seat. Amidst all this, we do have a shining queen who stole our hearts with her sassy remarks, honest opinion and kick ass performances. Whether she played Tom boyish Tanu or an innocent xyz in Gangster or notorious Simran or charming Rani.
Kangana Ranaut’s performances are always class apart. Though not being from a famous Bollywood family, she knows how to make her mark in her movies. Often we go to watch a movie because we know we will be entertained just by seeing her on screen. Coming from a small town in North India, this theatre girl was first discovered by Mahesh Bhatt and got her first movie Gangster. Though not having a very tod-fod role here she did stood out among her costars in the movie. This was just the beginning of an epic journey in Bollywood.
With awe inspiring performances in Tanu Weds Manu series, Queen, Life in a Metro, Shootout at Wadala, Simran, Woh Lamhe, etc. she just kept on raising the benchmark higher for all the peers. She has got critically acclaimed for making herself stand out in the men centric movies which makes her one of the strongest opponent to the A listed male stars in Bollywood.
Of lately she has also been entertaining us in forms of controversies. Whether it is because of her alleged relationship with Hrithik Roshan or her comment on Nepotism to Kjo or her take on Adhyayan Suman. She is not scared to speak the truth. Not getting into whose right or wrong what our takeaway here is that in this world of patriarchy a woman does not need a man to prove herself. She is equally competent in any field and has every right to stand up for herself. No women must shy away for speaking what she feels but rather learn to accept herself for what she is and enjoy life at every moment.
With that, on her 31st birthday today, she has decided to celebrate life by planting 31 trees. Now that’s a responsible way of starting the new year. We are sure no matter how old she gets, she will still continue to inspire us and be the Queen of our Hearts always 🙂
Long Live the Queen! Happy Birthday Kangana! You Rock!!!
