Indians have zero chills – and when it comes to cricket and more importantly IPL – those chills go into a whole new dimension. And as Twitter acts as that bartender-cum-therapist, we tend to abuse it by voicing everything that goes inside our heads.

Something like this happened when Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians in a match. Inspired and awestruck by Krishnappa Gowtham’s magnificent performance of an unbeaten 33 runs from 11 balls, many took to social media to shower praise on the man – including demands to rename Jaipur to Gawtham City (no not Batman’s Gotham city) in celebration of that super knock.

If you are scratching your heads like me, here are the best Twitter reactions:

Look at us being all cool

At least this is a saner reaction to the rename – can I get them to rename Mumbai, ‘hot-all-year-round’?

Good to know I’m not the only one thinking of Batman’s Gotham – ha ha ha

Wait there’s one more!

Apparently Gowtham went through the same training as Bruce Wayne

They didn’t even wait – rename done

Sure sir why not?

At least his hashtag game is on point

One superhero who only destroys with his sixes and fours

This made us LOL

Ahahaha – this!

People have way too much free time – and access to Photoshop

So what are your thoughts on the matter? Should we start renaming cities after great knocks? Who’s willing to start a petition?
