Movie posters give us gist of what we should be expecting from the movie. Often we scan through and analyse the poster to understand the characters and the plot. No wonder a picture speaks a thousand words. But is seeing always believing? What you see may not be true always. Ideally, we feel, there should be a parody released as soon as the new poster or trailer is out. After all we need some entertainment in our monotonous life!

Hence, we bring in the most honest titles for some selected movies. This will give you new insight to the movie (if you haven’t watched it yet) or make you realise how true this is (if you have watched it already) 😛 Either way, this is going to be fun.

Though we respect the efforts that go in naming the movie and the titles are definitely thought through a lot, there is no harm in having a little sarcastic approach towards it 😉 Have a look!

The Revenant

Well, when it comes to Oscar, Leonardo Dicaprio had been long due. I mean he gave such awesome performances but never got acknowledged. However, the jury (lobby is the better word) realised it’s time to settle the dues. And finally he got recognition at Oscar for Revenant. Well, ideally the title mentioned suits the movie better because honestly, we’ve seen him perform much much better in other movies.

Gravity

When there is a cast like Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, the expectations are sky high (in this case, in the space :P). Well the movie wasn’t really great to be honest. It was similar space drama with beautiful images of space and Earth especially, however, the plot wasn’t enticing enough. All we can say is that it was more of an Imax porn rather than a space drama with mind blowing performances. Indeed space is terrifying especially if you don’t listen to sound advice 😛

Life of PI

Source: College Humor

The title seems to be perfect. The movie consisted of ample of CGI but could do justice to bringing in some eye catching moments and to the plot mentioned in the book.

Harry Potter Series

Source: College Humor

Whatever is being said about Harry Potter series, it will always be less. Though being a successful movie franchise across the globe, the movie didn’t gather any attention at the Oscars. However, it did fare very well at the other academy awards across the world and is still loved by teens as well as adults.

Black Swan

Source: College Humor

Craziness is what can be expected from a psychological horror / thriller movie. However, in this case we have a ballerina i.e. Natalie Portman going over the top crazy in order to achieve a role and recognition among the peers. Though critically acclaimed for the performance by the cast, this one was definitely mind boggling and full of hallucinations.

Jumaji

Source: College Humor

Jumanji being one of the oldest movies, it does bring a lot of nostalgia to the viewers. But seeing this one, we are sure Robin Williams will be pissed and upset in his grave. No wonder, old is gold!

Thor: Ragnarok

Source: College Humor

Thor <3 Hands down the last sequel was much better than the earlier two. More action more drama and more people to fight with. But unlike other superhero movies, this one is setting up itself like the the tale of Asgardians rather than focusing on the super hero and saving the world.

Geostorm

Source: College Humor

There have been so many movies with asteroids and meteorites falling from the space causing crazy storm and floods and nightmare for the residents of planet Earth. It looks like there is a competition happening, who will make the most disastrous movie with CG and effects and scare people to death while they are watching the movie and not give a damm about the planet once they are out of the theatre 😛

IT

Source: College Humor

Kids from 80s are up for some adventure. However, instead of supernatural things floating or crawling around, we have clowns here. We actually feel that the clowns here are pretty screwed up and yes they are not creepy!

Dunkirk

Source: College Humor

Nolan, Nolan and Nolan. Yes he is the only director who can make us wait desperately for the movie which really does not have any plot except for retreat. However, except for brilliant sound effects, cinematography and direction (Tom Hardy + Harry Styles) there was nothing very exciting about this one.

Baywatch

Source: College Humor

Lot of hotties, running on the beach, sexy red swimsuits, that’s all. There’s nothing more to say.

Wonder Woman

Source: College Humor

Not intentionally taking digs at DC, but ideally this movie did turn out to be a make up for the losses created by Batman Vs Superman and other movies.

Pirates of the Caribbean- Part 4

Source: College Humor

Yes, this one was like a reminder “Hey, there’s more, in case you forgot about it!”. ;P To be honest, we did and I think it was better that way 😀

Fast and the Furious

Source: College Humor

Cars, bald dudes, racing and drifting across the streets. Wild chase. No one knows what’s happening and why? Amidst all this, there is the family angle brought into the picture. Why God, why?

Fifty Shades Darker

Source: College Humor

Fifty Shades is indeed soft porn! Like trying to fit in sex forcefully into every scene is just not a turn on! (someone needs to tell this to the directors).

Interstellar

Source: College Humor

Ok, we have Nolan here again. This time with Wormholes and Blackholes. We also don’t know what that is and how it functions but all we could know was something like that exists in our so called universe.

Into the Woods

Source: College Humor

Definitely one of the finest Meryl Streep’s movie this year! But it could have been definitely better if the plot of the movie was also that enticing and entertaining.

Mad Max Fury

Source: College Humor

Desert, hot sun, crazy cars, angel like women kicking asses and people fighting and chasing no idea over what! It was indeed total madness however the movie did fare well with some great performances.

Martian

Source: College Humor

Please bring him home, again. Yes this is the perfect title for the movie. And while people are in space, they really need to listen to their peers and not use their own heads to create problems for everyone!

A Wrinkle in Time

Source: College Humor

Adapted from the teen novel with the same name, this one is a fantasy sci-fi movie which is confusing but then everyone loves it, even if they don’t understand it 😛

Fifty Shades Freed

Source: College Humor

Fifty Shades Freed is the last in series. Nothing though changes in this one, we are stil of the opinion that just go and watch soft porn 😛

Red Sparrow

Source: College Humor

Ok, so we do love JLaw and her performance in this movie. But ideally this one was more like a build up for a superhero (woman in this case). Let’s keep the title as Black Widow as that seems more apt.

Tomb Raider

Source: College Humor

We have a new Lara Croft here. Alicia Vikander does do justice to her role however the movie was all about neck breaking moments and a lot of action and fights. We are hoping the next one will be a jaw breaker script for sure 😛

That’s enough entertainment for today. 😛
