Much awaited DC movie, Aquaman, has released its first poster! As expected, Jason Momoa looks intimidating.

The poster has Jason Momoa – The Aquaman, staring at the camera intimidatingly while sitting on a rock and holding his fork with his army of sea creatures, ranging from sharks to turtles, behind him.

With the increasing competition that DC and Warner Bros. are facing from Marvel, Shazam and Aquaman are the movies which the production houses are hoping would either break or make them.

James Wan, Director of the movie, has said Aquaman is lighter and more colorful than the other DCEU films that have come before, specifically pointing to the romantic adventure in the film. The fans would know a lot more when the trailer is out, but for now all they have is the Aquaman teaser poster.

After the first official Aquaman movie poster got released, the fans were excited about the epic look of the hero and ocean creatures. However there was one thing no one could quite figure out — why is Aquaman wearing leather pants under water? Director James Wan did have an answer to that question.

Wan took to Twitter to address the leather pants question and his logic was surprisingly straightforward. Check out his tweet below.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure and visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The stand-alone film explains the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean, Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime.

The film opens in theatres on December 21st while the trailer is set to be released this Saturday.
