There are no words that can define the absolute stunner that Ronaldo pulled off during the first leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League quarterfinal match against Juventus.

The Portugal star launched himself into the air to meet Dani Carvajal’s chipped ball and produced a mind-blowing and a perfect bicycle shot which flew the goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and put Real 2-0 ahead. Though it was Juventus home ground, the goal by CR7 was greeted by applause even from Juventus fans who only minutes earlier had hounded and insulted Ronaldo when he shot wide. Ronaldo’s double lead Real Madrid to an emphatic 3-0 win away to Juventus.

While the Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was very impressed with his superstar’s stunning goal, he wasn’t quick to dismiss his own goal. During his playing days, he too scored a memorable goal that has since become one of his most iconic strikes, turning on a pivot and smacking home a volley against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 Champions League final.

While Zidane didn’t hesitate to defend his personal brilliance, he also had no problem praising the Portuguese superstar for his effort against Juventus.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is different. He’s a different player to everyone else and he always has this desire to do something extraordinary in the Champions League. He never rests on his laurels,” said Zidane.

The Twitterati joined the party to celebrate this historic goal by Ronaldo as the fans are in complete shock with the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The goal by Cristiano Ronaldo definitely has the place in football’s most stunning goals scored books and fans around the world are never going to forget this stunner.
