The first major festival of the year is just around the corner and like everyone else, we are here to give you granny advice on how to play a safe Holi.

1. Protect Your Hair

Use your favourite, fragrant hair oil to protect your tresses from going dry, thanks to colours and excess use of water.

2. Safeguard Your Nails

Lighter nail paints can cause synthetic Holi colours to seep through all the way to the nails, cuticles and surrounding skin. Use as dark a shade of nail paint as possible, like black, to protect your nails from the chemical-filled colours of Holi that refuse to wear off for days.

3. Mask-up Your Face

Tone your skin with your favourite toner and moisturize it so that it is easier to take off Holi colours while leaving your pores open to breathe. Don’t forget to cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturize later, too!

4. Take Care of Your Hands

Apply a hand cream or body lotion before you dip your fingers into platefuls of colour. This will help take off the colour better and keep your hands moisturised.
